Swansea City star striker Fernando Llorente has emerged as a target for Chelsea this summer and has been strongly linked with Stamford Bridge club in recent times.
And in a new development (via Independent), the blues are set to make a concrete offer for the Spanish star.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is still determined to add more quality to his squad and still want to strengthen his attacking options before the transfer window closes on Thursday.
And it is understood that the Italian manager thinks Fernando is an ideal mentor and back-up for new man Alvaro Morata.
Conte and Llorente have both worked together back then at Juventus, and Llorente helped Swansea escaped relegation last term by scoring 15 times in 33 premier league games.
Swansea were previously unwilling to sell the star player, but the Independent made it known that the Swans are closing in on Wilfred Bony, and won’t need to rely on Llorente anymore.
It was also added that while Antonio Conte’s side were hoping to land him for a fee in the region of £20M, Swansea might demand up to £30M.
Apart from Llorente, another player Chelsea are likely to complete a deal for before the transfer window closes on Thursday is Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater. The England international is understood to be interested in moving to a bigger club like Chelsea.
