The attacking depth of Premier League Champions Chelsea isn’t ideal in manager Antonio Conte’s view and the team is likely going to spend big in the transfer market in the winter transfer window to address that issue.
Other than Spain international forward Pedro and Brazil international winger Willian, both of whom are no longer regular starters in Antonio Conte’s side by any stretch, the West London club do lack an outright winger but Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey is one begin speculated for a transfer to Stamford Bridge.
The 20-year-old out and out winger made his name with Belgium side Genk before making a £12.1million transfer move to German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen last January despite serious interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.
Leon Bailey has developed steadily into his role with the German Bundesliga club this campaign, netting four goals and making four assists in 12 German league matches so far this campaign and Spanish La Liga table-toppers FC Barcelona have also reportedly joined Antonio Conte’s Chelsea in the race to secure the wingers signature.
It’s widely thought that the Chelsea target is valued by Bayern Leverkusen at £20million which is surely an affordable figure for the Stamford Bridge giant should they chase a transfer.
