Premier League Champions Chelsea are increasingly sure of signing Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater and are willing to raise their offer for the Englishman to £32million.
The Foxes rejected Antonio Conte’s side opening £25m bid and value the midfield maestro at closer to £40million.
The England international is determined to move to Stamford Bridge and Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare won’t stop the former Manchester United man should an acceptable bid come in.
Drinkwater penned a long-term deal about 18 months ago, and the former Premier League Champions are under no pressure to cash in on the midfielder.
However, they confirm the approach of the west London club is hard to reject, and according to the Sun, the Blues will table a new £32million offer for the Leicester ace this week.
That bid is likely to be accepted by the King Power club, who will look to reinvest the proceed from his sales straight away.
The next couple of days will be a very busy one at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea Boss Antonio Conte keen on signing some more players, like four new players, before the summer transfer window slams shut next week Thursday.
The Italian tactician wants to reinforce at full-back, in midfield, center-back and possibly bring in another quality forward.
