Chelsea Needs To Watch Their Back, Pundit Discusses Liverpool’s Catch

Jermaine Jenas thinks despite the current happenings, Liverpool are still capable of catching Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title this season. The Reds lost on a shocking 3-2 to Swansea on Saturday.

Liverpool had been expected to pick up all three points against Swansea at Anfield on Saturday, but unfortunately, they slumped to a disappointing defeat after the visitors scored three second-half goals on Merseyside.

The result lessened Liverpool’s hopes of catching title favourites Chelsea in the race for the English Premier League trophy.

However despite Saturday’s potentially damaging defeat, Jenas  is still of the opinion that all is not lost yet for Liverpool in the race for the tittle.

Jenas while speaking to BT Sport on Saturday said even though people are looking at it is whether Chelsea are going to drop that many points, he don’t think so.

“You look [at] the two games coming up for Chelsea after Hull which is Liverpool and Arsenal. Liverpool have the chance to go and attack their rival and put things right while they will come up against a tough team in Arsenal. You are talking about six points behind dropped there if things go right for their rivals. The title race isn’t completely over.” he said.

Liverpool are now seeking to build on the disappointment of their eighth-placed finish in the Premier League last season under new boss Jurgen Klopp. Back then in October 2015, the German coach was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent successor at Anfield.
