Chelsea hero Ray Wilkins says Eden Hazard should remain at Stamford Bridge and turn down suitors like Real Madrid as long as Chelsea remain competitive.
The Belgium international playmaker is one of the best-attacking players in Europe and would fit in nicely at the Santiago Bernabeu among several other Galacticos signed by the club over the years.
Latest reports by Don Balon states that Real are closely eyeing Hazard again and could even cash in on Marco Asensio so as to make space for the Belgian in the squad.
Former Blue Ray Wilkins is not worried, however, about the possibility of Hazard, 26, being lured away from the Bridge he is hell bent the attacker will stay at a competitive Chelsea side.
The former Blue is cited in the Daily Star’ as saying that as long as the Blues are competitive, he doesn’t think Eden Hazard will leave Stamford Bridge.
He, however, admitted that if Chelsea doesn’t make the UEFA Champions League, star players like Eden Hazard will leave the West London club.
The Belgian has been a star for Antonio Conte’s side signing from French Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2012 and is not the type of player they’d want to allow to leave if they want to continue to seal themselves as a European heavyweight.
