Chelsea have suffered a major blow in their alleged pursuit of West Ham United striker Andy Carroll after manager David Moyes disclosed that the club’s intention is not to allow anyone leave the club.
This is as per Sky Sports, who claim that the Stamford Bridge outfit had been strongly linked with the England forward according to some publications and that David Moyes has declared his team’s willingness to permit the former Newcastle striker to go.
Since signing for the Hammers from fellow English Premier League club Liverpool in 2012, Andy Carroll has been impressive for the side.
In 128 matches for the club, the England international striker has managed to find the net on 32 occasions and made 18 assists, a somewhat decent record.
In his English Premier League career so far, the striker has been able to gather a fairly impressive total, with the ex Newcastle striker scoring 52 goals and making 25 assists in 195 matches.
His height and incredible strength has seen some tag the 29-year-old forward as one of Premier League’s best target man.
Should the manager’s words come true and the club not permit the forward leave, it’ll be interesting to know who Chelsea target next.
