Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has joined up with his colleagues in training ahead of the Blues mouthwatering encounter with Serie A side Roma on Wednesday night.
The Spain international, 24, has been sidelined after suffering a hamstring problem in their loss to League rivals Manchester City on 30 September in the lead-up to the FIFA international break.
Blues tactician Antonio Conte spoke about the Spaniard’s hamstring injury after the West Londoners dismal loss at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon and was hopeful the Spain international striker would be fully fit for the UEFA Champions League clash in midweek.
And on Sunday, the Blues official tweeter account posted out pictures of the forward taking part in training at the side’s training ground in Cobham.
The former Juventus manager said as cited by Mirror, ‘As you [everyone] know very well we [Chelsea] have three [3] injured players. Morata, I [Antonio Conte] hope to have him [Alvaro Morata] back [from injury] very soon, I [Antonio Conte] hope for the next match against [Serie A giant] Roma,’ [Antonio] Conte said after the loss at the Selhurst Park. ‘[Midfielder] Danny Drinkwater is progressing [recovering] well but not ready [to retun] yet.
‘We [Chelsea] must be patience with him [Danny Drinkwater] and this calf injury.’
