Arsenal star player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer and has emerged as a target for both Liverpool and Chelsea.
The player has been in the news recently, and the latest being said of him now is that premier league champions Chelsea are in pole position to get his signature ahead of Liverpool.
Chelsea have seen an initial bid for the Englishman rejected by Arsenal, and it is understood that they are yet to make an improved offer for him.
However, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told the management to bring in as many as four new players before the transfer window closes next Thursday, and the Italian tactician is keen on bringing Alex to Stamford Bridge after identifying him as a player that can add more quality to his squad.
Although Oxlade-Chamberlain has been with Arsenal since 2011 and has won three FA Cups with the North London club, the England international has rejected signing a new contract with Arsene Wenger’s side and his heart seems to be set on leaving Arsenal.
The 24-year-old is valued at around £35million as the gunners will attempt getting as much money as possible from a deal for him.
And even though Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is understood to be monitoring Alex, the Daily Mirror report that the premier league champions remain frontrunners in the race for the talented star.
Last season in the premier league, the versatile star made 29 appearances for Arsenal and scored two goals with seven assists.
