Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is a major doubt for the Reds ahead of their Champions League clash with Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Reds travel to the Nou Camp to take on Barcelona in the first leg of their semifinal clash scheduled to take place on Wednesday night and Firmino could miss the game after he sat out the thumping league win over Premier League basement club Huddersfield Town.
Brazilian international Firmino missed the Huddersfield Town game with a muscle injury according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
The German tactician played down the injury as he said that it’s not likely to rule him out of the Barcelona game.
Without Firmino, Liverpool made light work of Huddersfield Town via a 5-0 win.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah scored two goals each either side of the halftime interval to give the Reds a thumping victory in the Premier League clash at home.
The two African stars were on the scoresheet after another African player Naby Keita had opened the scoring in the first minute of the game.
The Liverpool win has taken the Reds above Manchester City at the top of the table.
Klopp and Liverpool would be hoping that Roberto Firmino recovers in time for the Barcelona game on Wednesday night.
