Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has become a priority for Italian Serie A side AS Roma with the ‘big man’ yet to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Roma keen on ‘big’ Belgian
The Champions League semi-finalists have identified Fellaini as a top priority target this summer transfer window.
According to CalcioMercato, the 30-year-old has become a target for the Italian team that exited the UEFA Champions League during the week at the hands of Liverpool FC.
The news and rumour today linking the former Everton man with a move to Italy has surely once again thrown the midfielder’s future into more uncertainty.
Contract talks going on
As per The Express this week, while contract negotiations between Manchester United and the player had looked to be progressing that the Belgium international is unlikely to accept a year extension and will rather warrant the Red Devils to abandon their one-year extension policy for over 30-years-old players to remain at the club.
The player has experienced a rough time at the club since joining from Merseyside club Everton back in 2013 for a transfer fee of £27.5m.
However, he once again showed his quality a week ago by coming off the substitute bench to score a late goal against Arsenal in a 2-1 win.
