Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is of the opinion that English clubs will be more competitive in the Champions League this term than they have been in recent years.
This year, five premier league clubs will be representing England in the European Elite Competition: Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham and Man City.
Despite being widely regarded as the most outstanding league in the globe, English clubs have been performing below average in the Champions League in recent years.
Since Chelsea won the trophy back in 2012, no other English club have made it to the Champions League final.
Last term, Leicester City were the only English team who managed to progressed beyond the Round of 16 but they were kicked out at the quarter-finals.
However, former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is predicting things to change this season in the Champions League.
Chelsea have been touted to be very competitive in the Champions League this season following their brilliant display in the premier league last term, and Jose Mourinho will be looking at winning the Champions League with Man Utd after leading the Old Trafford club to Europa Cup glory last term.
Tottenham Hotspur were also incredibly brilliant last term, and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is working on bolstering his squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
