The Carabao League third round will be played tonight as Liverpool will be hosting Chelsea at Anfield, they meet for the first time since the commencement of this season.
However, Liverpool former player, Phil Thompson believes it is about time that Jurgen Klopp gives some of the Reds unused players a chance to play real football tonight.
According to Phil Thompson in his statement, he listed five players that should start for the Reds tonight.
The five players include Fabinho, Dejan Lovren, Mareno, Nathaniel Clyne, and Joel Matip.
Fabinho since his arrival from the French club, AS Monaco, in the summer transfer window is yet to feature for Liverpool in any game.
Dejan Lovren just returns from a long time injury and could make a debut tonight.
Mareno is Liverpool error-prone player but he is likely to earn a start.
Nathaniel Clyne just like Lovren is also just returning from an injury.
Joel Matip was great for the Reds in their last match against Southampton and is likely to return tonight.
