Arsenal star defender Calum Chambers will be out of action for a couple of weeks after sustaining a hip injury in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup win over Doncaster Rovers.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed this morning at a press conference that the defender will possibly miss football actions until after the international break while he recuperate from injury.
It’s a major blow for Calum Chambers given he had recently returned into the first-team after being down the pecking order all season until now. But spending a further few weeks on the treatment table is a bad situation and he will now have to fight himself back into contention when he is fit again.
The Gunners came close to cashing in on the England star over the summer, with London club Crystal Palace one of the teams reportedly interested in signing him.
Palace had a lofty offer turned down by the North Londoners, who made a U-turn on their stance to sell him, but chances with the first-team squad hadn’t come his way since.
Arsenal fans were delighted to see the highly rated former Southampton star back in action for the team, but his latest injury against Doncaster Rovers was another setback for the defender. His return to action will be eagerly anticipated.

Wishing you a swift recovery lad! It was good to see Chambers on the field again. On his day he's top class! A promising young talent, hopefully it's the last injury we see, I'm curious to see young talent's growth over the course of the season.
