Brighton and Hove Albion are plotting a permanent transfer for young Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke in this January transfer window.
This is according to the report from media portal Goal which claims that the Seagulls want to sign Solanke permanently after his loan move to Crystal Palace fell through.
The former Chelsea striker was close to joining the Eagles before the club called the loan deal off because of its complicated nature as confirmed by Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson.
Brighton want to sign the 20-year-old with the Reds asking price set at £12m (€15m).
Other Premier League clubs like Huddersfield Town, Fulham and Newcastle United are also interested in a possible transfer for the England international striker.
Dominic Solanke has not played for the Liverpool first team this season and Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is happy to let him leave the club either on a short-term loan or permanently.
The striking duo of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are ahead of him in the pecking order aside from the famed trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane.
This is in stark contrast to last season (debut campaign) when he scored once in 27 appearances in all competitions including 21 Premier League games.
