South Coast club Bournemouth have agreed on a loan deal for Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne.
The Cherries loan agreement for the England international player was revealed by popular English media outlet Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old will join Bournemouth from Liverpool on a short-term loan until the end of the season.
Other Premier League sides like Fulham, Cardiff City, and Leicester City were also keen on signing the former Southampton right-back on loan but the Cherries have secured a deal for him ahead of the listed clubs.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is desperate to strengthen his defence with a new right-back following the injuries sustained by his first choice right-backs Adam Smith and Simon Francis.
Adam Smith is expected back in action before the rest of the season, while Simon Francis won’t play again this season after sustaining a serious knee injury.
Nathaniel Clyne is expected to deputize for them at right-back between now and the end of this season.
He has been on the fringes of the Premier League table topping Liverpool squad thus leading to his desire to leave the club for more first team opportunities.
Clyne was previously the first choice right-back at Liverpool before he sustained a long-term injury.
