Dortmund lead the pack on the Bundesliga log, nine points adrift local rival Borussia Monchengladbach, who are levelled on points at second place with Munich.
Dortmund are looking to clinch the Bundesliga title since pulling a stunt in 2012, pipping Bayern Munich, who have racked more successes under their belt than Dortmund.
They could head into Christmas if they can weave their way past Monchengladbach when the two meet on Friday at Signal Iduna Park.

Gladbach’s side are hopeful they can steal three points at Iduna Park and will look to brush past their former clashes with BVB where they had always thrown away their leads.
