Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon has emerged as a target for some English top flight clubs following his impressive performances with the Championship side.
He has been in the news for some time now, and the latest report about him (by the Telegraph) is that Fulham have rejected a £25million bid from Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool and Tottenham are understood to be very much interested in Sessegnon, and Spurs have seen their formal offer of £25 million turned down by Fulham.
The 17-year-old had been with Fulham right from childhood and signed his first professional contract with them back in June.
Last season, the talented youngster scored five time in 26 appearances for his side as he helped them to a Championship playoff, where they lost to Reading.
The English player also helped his country’s Under 19 side to victory at the European Championships in Georgia some weeks back. He has made 11 appearances at the youth side and has scored four times for them.
Now that Fulham have rejected Spurs bid for the player, Liverpool might want to do a proper homework before making their own move for him.
However, it is said that the Championship club are not under any financial pressure to sell Ryan as they need him in their attempt to get back to the premier league.
