Despite being strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the past summer transfer window, Spanish striker Diego Costa couldn’t make a move out of West London before the end of the English transfer window, and he remains at Chelsea until this moment.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has made Costa surplus to requirements in his team after telling the player at the end of last season that he is not part of his plans at Chelsea for this new term.
The Spain international is expected to return back to his former Spanish club Atletico Madrid, but the blues were unable to reach a deal with the La Liga club largely due to their transfer ban.
The Brazilian-born striker travelled back to London after spending much of the summer back in South America. However, with summer signing Alvaro Morata already finding his feet at the club, Conte is not looking to give Diego a first-team chance.
It is quite known that the Turkish transfer window is still open until tomorrow. And there are speculations that Turkish side Besiktas considering a shock loan swoop for Diego before the deadline.
It was added that the club are promising to offer the striker first-team football until January when Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban is over.
Chelsea wants Costa to be fit so he could be sold for something reasonable, and a move to Besiktas could make lots of sense.
