It is confirmed that Bertrand Traore has arrived France to complete his move to Lyon.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed that the player is ready to complete his move away from Chelsea after spending a season on loan at Ajax.
And although he did not reveal the fee his club will be paying Chelsea, it is believed to be something around £16.5 million.
Speaking to L’Equipe (as reported by Get French Football), Aulas said:
“Nothing has been signed. But it is close. He arrived last night in Lyon, there is a little exclusive for you… I am going to return immediately after the assembly to talk with him and his brother David. With Chelsea, we are basically in agreement… I cannot speak about it (the fee), because it has not been entirely finalised. There are several options.”
The Burkina Faso player endured a mixed season with Ajax, playing a big role in their Europa League campaign that saw them reach the final of the competition.
He featured regularly while Guus Hiddink was still boss at Stamford Bridge. However, current manager Antonio Conte did not see the African as part of his plans.
The Italian tactician is bringing back Champions League football to Stamford Bridge next season and is keen on bolstering his squad with top superstars.
