25-Year-Old Winger Backs Sarri Option For Juventus

Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi has thrown his weight behind the potential appointment of Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as the new permanent manager with the Italian champions.

Italian tactician Sarri is the favourite to take over from compatriot Maximiliano Allegri as the Juventus manager.

He has a contract with Premier League giants Chelsea but the former Napoli boss has already told senior Blues officials that his time in West London is up despite the fact that he has spent just one season at the club.

Sarri has already agreed to a deal with Juventus and Italian national team winger Bernardeschi believes that the former Empoli boss will be a good fit for the Turin giants.

Federico Bernardeschi was speaking at a recent press conference held for the Italian national team ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ex-Fiorentina star Bernardeschi is an important player for Juventus and he was heavily involved as the Italian champions sealed title no. 8 which was masterminded by the aforementioned Allegri.

He scored two goals and also provided three assists in 28 league games for Juventus during the just-concluded campaign.

Maurizio Sarri has a year left on the two-year deal that he signed to become the new Chelsea manager last summer.

There was the option of an additional year but Chelsea won’t exercise that option and the Blues will have to pay £5m for Sarri to secure his release.

Juventus have to pay for the one year left on his £5m per annum contract at Chelsea.

According to recent reports, Sarri has agreed to a £6.2m yearly deal with the Italian champions.
