Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is reportedly interested in two Liverpool players ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
The Spaniard is keen to raid his former club as he tries to find a long-term solution to the goalscoring problems in his team.
According to the publication from the chronicle via NUFC blog, Rafael Benitez has drawn up a three-man strikers’ list ahead of the January transfer window.
The players on the list include Watford skipper Troy Deeney and the Liverpool duo of Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi.
Solanke and Origi have found it hard to break into the Reds team in the new campaign.
Both players are behind the quartet of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge for the forward positions.
Newcastle United scored just seven goals in their first eleven Premier League games of the new season before Salomon Rondon found the back of the net twice to help the Magpies to a second successive win via a 2-1 victory over in-form Bournemouth.
Rondon joined Newcastle United on a season-long loan from English Championship side West Brom in the summer and the Venezuelan has been disappointing in the colours of Newcastle United until the game against the Cherries.
