Benfica reject Klopp’s £60m bid for Joao Felix

The Sun reported on Wednesday that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made a sensational £60m bid for Benfica forward and playmaker Joao Felix as he hoped to lure the teenager to Anfield stadium.

The 19-year-old is presently one of the most impressive and highly-rated youngsters in Europe and his performances for Benfica have caught the eyes of top clubs in the continent and beyond.

However, signing the playmaker in January is almost a ‘mission impossible’ due to the fact that Felix recently signed a new contract with the club.

WHO IS JOAO FELIX?

Felix is a 19-year-old versatile star who can feature as a playmaker, centre-forward and as a winger.

He started his career at a tender age with Porto’s academy but the club released him in 2014-15 due to his diminutive stature.

He joined Benfica as a free agent and he made his debut for their youth team in 2016 before progressing through to the senior team.

He made his first-team debut this season and he has been performing wonders with the team.

Having played nine games in all competitions, he has scored four goals and his overall performances is nothing but awesome.
