German Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly opened to the sale of exciting winger Leon Bailey.
The statement was credited to the club’s sporting director Jonas Boldt who was speaking during an interview with popular German media portal Bild.
According to him, Bayer Leverkusen have no problem letting Leon Bailey leave the club in the future.
Boldt, however, confirmed that the Jamaican international star will be staying at the club at least until the end of the current season.
The 21-year-old rose to European recognition in the last campaign after his goal contributions helped Bayer Leverkusen to qualify for this season’s Europa League campaign.
Leon Bailey scored nine goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen in the league.
Leverkusen won the race to sign him from Belgian side Genk in January 2017 ahead of other European clubs.
His impressive outings have attracted the interests of several top clubs to his immense potentials.
European clubs interested in him ahead of the upcoming transfer window in January includes the English quartet of Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester United and Chelsea.
In some quarters, Leon Bailey is seen as a replacement for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane if he decides against signing a new contract at Anfield.
