Torino star player Andrea Belotti has emerged as a target for both Chelsea and AC Milan this summer and is expected to leave Torino any time soon.
However, reports in Italy reveals that Serie A giants AC Milan are very much ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign the striker from Torino.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims the Italian club have made Belotti their major target and is the favoured preference of their boss Vincenzo Montella.
It was added that the Milan club already have an agreement in place with the 23-year-old and must now settle on a fee with his club.
The Italian striker has a €100 million (£88m) release clause in his contract, but it is understood that it only applies to non-italian clubs.
Belotti’s club are said to be asking AC Milan to give them €80 million (£71m) and include M’Baye Niang and Gabriel Paletta in the deal. However, Milan wants the fee to be reduced to €40m (£35m), but won’t mind adding the two players to the deal.
A deal is expected to be struck as soon as Milan raise the cash payment to something around €60m (£53m) and also included the two players.
Premier league champions Chelsea are yet to have a main striker for next campaign with Diego Costa leaving back to Atletico Madrid and Romelu Lukaku lost to Manchester United.
