An opportunity for Arsenal to secure all three points against Tottenham at the Wembley Stadium in the North London derby game was thrown away by Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The former Borussia Dortmund came in from the bench in the second half and that was the only opportunity he had to make a mark in the game and also ensure the fans hold onto their pride but he could not put the ball past goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who saved the ball from the spot.
A win for Arsenal would have ensured that they remain in the fourth Position while the points between them and Tottenham would have been reduced to 1 but that did not happen as the Unai Emery men are currently fifth in the league table.
However, he has expressed his deep regret as he apologised to the fans for not making them happy in the game.
He noted that he was affected by the penalty miss but hopes to have another opportunity to correct what had already been done.
Meanwhile, the race for who ends in the fourth position is still very much open just like the race for the EPL title and Arsenal are hoping they return to the Champions League next season.
