Arsenal Transfer News: Expected Lineup Next Season + Potential Signings

After another disappointing season in the Premier League, Arsenal are finally showing some intent in the transfer market for the first time in as many summer windows.

Arsene Wenger faced a lot of criticism during the last campaign due to uncertainties over his future and he now looks to improve on his managerial career that happens to be taking a nosedive.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of big names this summer window, following the arrival of Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.

Here is a potential lineup for the Gunners next season in a 3-4-3 formation:

GK: Petr Cech- The veteran keeper will continue to man the post for the Gunners. It is believed that Arsene Wenger will stick with his trusted man.

CB: Laurent Koscienly- He has been tipped to stage a return to the French Ligue 1 this summer, but Wenger will not sell his key defender.

CB: Shkodran Mustafi- His debut season in the Premier League got mixed reactions due to the unconvincing displays despite being a reliable defender.

CB: Rob Holding- The defender has proved his worth more than his transfer fee from Bolton, impressing with solid performances towards the end of the season.

RWB: Hector Bellerin- Arsene Wenger has chosen to keep hold on this pacy youngster despite interest from Barcelona and a starting role could further nail his future at the Emirates.

LWB: Sead Kolasinac- Arsenal’s first summer signing will do well to impress the Emirates faithful next season.

CDM: Granit Xhaka- The Swiss international has nailed a starting place at the Emirates and will continue to feature in the plans of Wenger.

CM: Aaron Ramsey- His brilliant form late on last season, might have helped him finally nail a starting role under Arsene Wenger, but his injury worries might be a stumbling block.

LW: Thomas Lemar- The Frenchman is expected to join the Emirates and could be an ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

RW: Mesut Ozil- The playmaker is expected to remain at the Emirates despite refusing to sign a new deal.

FW: Sergio Aguero/Olivier Giroud- Arsene Wenger is believed to be in the market for a new centre-forward and a swap deal for Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero could be an ideal addition.
