Monaco star player Thomas Lemar has emerged as a target for both Chelsea and Arsenal this summer after an impressive campaign in the just concluded season.
And in a new development, there are new reports that Arsenal are ready to make a second bid of around £35million to seal the transfer of the talented winger as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez.
It is understood that Sanchez is exit-bound and the North Londoners have resigned to losing the Chilean as speculation grows that Man City are closing in on bringing him in a £50million deal.
Considering Lemar’s superb form at Monaco last term, it is believed that he can be a good replacement for Sanchez, but the Gunners failed with an initial £30m offer for the talented star.
The 21-year-old is also said to be a target for Premier League champions Chelsea, while Barcelona could also be a contender for his signature.
However, the player is regarded as Arsenal’s top target in the attack and the Emirates club remain determined to win the race for him.
According to The Sun, Arsene Wenger’s side will increase their offer to £35m in the hope of persuading the Ligue I champions to sell.
In the just concluded season, Lemar, in 51 games for Monaco, scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists to help them win the Ligue I title and reach the Champions League semi-finals.
