German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have turned down a bid in excess of £50million from North London giants Arsenal for forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
As reported by Sky Sports, the German giants have turned down a second offer from the Gunners, who are in serious pursuit of the Gabonese international to reinforce their forward line.
Borussia Dortmund are open to offloading the forward after a couple of off-field problems over his attitude and club commitment but have set a huge price-tag over the African.
The German outfit are looking to receive £55million from Aubameyang sale, which would be a club transfer record deal for the gunners.
However, the North London club are not willing to cough out more than they splashed on France international striker Alexandre Lacazette, which was bought for £52.7m from French Ligue 1 side Lyon last summer transfer window.
According to reports earlier today, Arsenal tabled in excess of £50million, but a little below £52.7million, with the bid coming somewhere in between that figure, which has now been turned down by the players club.
The Bundesliga outfit would like France international and FIFA Puskas award winner Olivier Giroud to join the club on loan from the North London club as part of any transfer deal for the African.
The Gunners have already had a bid of £45million turned down for the prolific striker this winter transfer window.
