Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is allegedly bluffing to get Sanchez’s price tag increased amid rumour he could complete a switch to Manchester City.
Recently, the Independent claimed a move could be sealed this week for Alexis Sanchez to move to the Blue half of Manchester, while the Guardian suggest City have offered £20million for the exciting attacker.
On the other hand, it may be that the Gunners still fancy their opportunity of getting even more than that from the sale of Sanchez, despite the forward being so close to the exhausting his Arsenal contract.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is hoping to coup about £40million for Sanchez, 29, and that the French tactician feels he may possibly do so if he sends a major signal that the attacker is not for sale.
The report cited Arsene Wenger as looking to cool rumour over the future of Sanchez, despite having left him out of the starting lineup against Chelsea last night. They also quoted Arsene Wenger stating similar things last summer only to finally agree to sell which he eventually u-turned on.
Either way, this transfer saga looks prepared to linger, with the chilean’s situation the main subject of several attention for more than a year.
