Arsenal not interested in signing Lyon striker Lacazette- Jean Michel Aulas

Arsenal are not attempting to sign Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to the Ligue 1 club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for Lacazette, 25, with recent reports claiming the Premier League side could be lining up a £42 million offer.

However, Lyon chief Aulas, in an interview with L’Equipe, said he does not believe Arsenal are interested in the France international, having recently spoken to their manager Arsene Wenger at Euro 2016.

“I saw Arsene a lot during France’s matches and he didn’t talk to me about it,” he said.

“So I don’t think that there is something, and it seems to me that Alex wants to spend this season with Lyon in the new stadium.

“He wants to experience an adventure in the Champions League that could prove to be much better than last season.

“I think he’s going to stay with us and we’re very happy about that.”
