There are indications that Arsenal might replace third choice goalkeeper David Ospina who is reported to be preparing for a move away from the club in the coming winter transfer window.
David Ospina was a second choice goalkeeper to Petr Cech as at last season under former manager Arsene Wenger but that changed with the coming of a new manager and the signing of Bernd Leno from German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
It is believed that the North London side are willing to let the Columbia international leave but they will be in the market for a replacement as negotiations are reportedly on with Gent shot-stopper Lovre Kalinic.
Arsenal are therefore being encouraged to move in for Lovre Kalinic because he is believed to cost less.
The 28-year-old joined the Belgium club in 2017 with a fee of £3 million from Hajduk Split in 2017 while his contract will not run off until 2021 but with a release clause of about £10 million which is believed to be affordable for the North London club.
However, the competition in the Gunners team, especially in the goalkeeping department, has been a two-man race with Bernd Leno and Petr Cech winning the heart of the Spanish manager ahead of the Columbia international.
