Arsenal fans will feel betrayed after learning this player wants to leave

There are suggestions that Arsenal fans will feel betrayed after learning that Swiss international Granit Xhaka is seeking to leave the club after dropping a hint ahead of the summer transfer window.

Granit Xhaka was rewarded a new deal in the last summer and has been a major part of the manager Unai Emery team but that seems not to be enough for him.

According to him, he wants to play at the highest level and Arsenal might not be the club at the level or might not be able to hand him the opportunity to play at the highest level, which is the Champions League.

The North London outfit have missed out on two consecutive Champions League seasons and are now battling to gain promotion with a top-four finish. It seems unsatisfactory for the star player.

Granit Xhaka stated that he is an ambitious player who will seek a better option by taking the next step as he stressed that Arsenal might not be the last stop for him.

However, it is not sure how manager Unai Emery will react to comments made by the Swiss international but there is no doubt that he will continue to make use of Granit Xhaka as a major part of the team.
