As this season approaches it end, premier league side Arsenal are seeking for a top quality striker who can score lots of goals to help win more matches.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is set to reinforce his squad in the summer transfer window and some big names have been linked with the North London club already.
Players like Romelu Lukaku and Kylian Mbappe have been linked with Arsenal in recent times, and Alexandre Lacazette as also been a long-time target.
Now, according to reports coming from the French media, Arsenal are revealed to be the only English club that are seriously interested in the France international and Lyon star.
Just last month, it was reported that Liverpool too are interested in Alexandre, and the 25-year-old has a release clause of 60 million pounds at the Ligue I club that lasts until 2019. But it’s now indicated that Arsenal are more serious in his pursuit than Liverpool.
He has been in superb form this season and in 40 appearances in all competitions, Lacazette has scored 31 times and has provided 4 assists.
As things stands now, it is almost certain that the highly rated forward will leave Lyon in the upcoming summer transfer window.
A high official in Lyon confirmed earlier this month that he can actually leave the club at the end of this current campaign.
It was also revealed that not only clubs from England are monitoring his activities, but that other top clubs from other countries including AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also interested in getting his signature.
