Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, speaking recently about the premier league situation so far this season, said it is ‘normal’ for the two Manchester clubs to be at the top of the table at the moment, and that anything can actually happen before the end of the season.
Both Manchester United and Manchester City are yet to lose a single premier league game so far in this campaign, and each have been able to amass 13 points after five games.
Considering the quality of players in their respective sides, and how hot they are at the moment, some pundits are already predicting that the premier league trophy will be heading down to Manchester this season, despite that defending champions Chelsea are not doing quite bad and are currently trailing the duo with just three points.
And when he was asked about his title rivals, Chelsea boss Conte said it is perfectly normal for the two Manchester clubs to be competitive and to fight for the title and the other competitions – since they are part of the top clubs in the country.
He however also sent a warning across to Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola:
“At the end of the season, we will see what happens.”
Conte’s side suffered a shocking defeat to Burnley on the opening day of the new campaign but have since gone on to win three of their four games.
They failed to find their best form against Arsene Wenger’s side on Saturday as the Gunners fought hard to get a draw at Stamford Bridge.
