Man United defensive target reconsiders move

Manchester United target and Helsingborgs defender Andreas Granqvist has reacted to claims of being linked to the Old Trafford side by stating that he is unsure of any move in the winter window.

The Red Devils were reported to be plotting a move for the star defender ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks with a bid expected to be submitted.

The player in his reaction stated that he is happy at the club and will not seek a move to the English Premier League side at the moment.

The 33-year-old defender is regarded as one of the most experienced players in the league and has had a 14 appearance history with English side Wigan before returning to Sweden.

Manager Jose Mourinho has been battling his poor performance in his side and has pointed at his defenders for making the blunders that have affected his side.

That is the reason why he has longed for defenders who will help him change the fate of the club in the second half which starts in the new year.

The Portuguese boss is still hopeful his side can qualify for the Champions League next season by finishing in the top four this season.
