Africa’s richest man, Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote plans to sack current Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger if he eventually buys Arsenal.
Dangote valued £10billion by Forbes Magazine earlier in the year, has publically declared his intention to buy the North London club for several years and saw an initial offer to buy the club collapse in 2010.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the Nigerian once again confirmed his desire to invest in the Emirate club once he completes an oil refinery project in the City of Lagos.
And any successful offer from the 60-year-old Billionaire could spell doom for current Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Dangote said “The first thing I (Dangote) would change is the Coach (Arsene Wenger),” “He (Wenger) has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck.”
This is not the first time in which the Billionaire has promised major changes at the club; he made a similar remark about Arsene Wenger back in May 2015.
Wenger would fear no such challenge from majority shareholder Stan Kroenke, with whom Wenger agreed on a two-year contract extension at the end of the last campaign.
His Company – Dangote Group has grown rapidly, spreading wide into new territory across the continent of Africa as well as diverting into new industries.
