Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez has dropped a hint on Social media – Instagram that his future may lie away from Emirate Stadium as rivals Manchester City ready a last-ditch effort to sign the Chile international on deadline day.
Manchester City’s £50 million bid for the 28-year-old attacker was turned down earlier in the week, but City are reportedly ready to return with a £70million offer.
The Etihad club have also sent their medical team and legal officials to Chile to seal the transfer for Sanchez, providing they agree on a transfer fee with the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger is adamant that the Chilean would not be sold this summer transfer window, but the attacker has already confirmed that he wants to leave to play for a team in the UEFA Champions League.
And the Chilean has reinforced his intent to quit the club by liking a photo on Instagram which has his face ‘photoshoped’ onto the infamous picture of Neymar and Gerard Pique, which was captured shortly before Neymar’s world-record transfer to French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain.
The North London club, meanwhile, are reportedly ready to sell the attacker but only if they manage to secure the signature of PSG’s Julian Draxler as a replacement.
