As for the player, the Italian outlet claims he told his friends about the chance to make a return back to the English top flight, after leaving Chelsea to Roma last year.
It is understood that the main issue is now to settle on a transfer fee with Roma as they are asking for €35 million for the midfielder. It was added that the Egyptian’s current deal will expire in 2019, so, the Serie A club are open to selling the player.
The 24-year-old scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists to help Roma finish second in the just concluded Serie A season.
