German champions Bayern Munich have reportedly won the race to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign.
Apart from the Bavarian giants, the 27-year-old has also been linked with several European heavyweights.
European clubs such as Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United and AC Milan have been touted as possible destinations for the Welsh international midfielder.
According to the publication from the Independent, Aaron Ramsey will move to Bayern Munich next summer after the five-time European champions won the keenly contested race to sign him.
Ramsey is on his way out of Arsenal after the Gunners withdrew their contract offer to him despite the fact that he has less than one year on his current deal at the club.
The former Cardiff City star initially questioned the move from the club as he faulted the Gunners hierarchy for the refusal to tell him why the contract offer was withdrawn.
Aaron Ramsey thereafter met with Arsenal director Raul Sanllehi in a meeting where he was reportedly told about the full details behind the decision not to offer him a new contract at the club.
S ince he signed for Arsenal in 2008 in a £4.8m deal from Welsh side Cardiff City, Ramsey has been an important player for Arsenal.
