Five-time European champions Liverpool will reportedly resurrect their interest in Lyon forward Nabil Fekir when the summer transfer window reopens in the coming weeks.
This is according to the publication from popular French media outlet L’Equipe which claimed that Liverpool will have to contend with two other clubs for his signature.
Nabil Fekir could have been fighting for the Premier League title with the Reds if his transfer had not fallen through last summer.
Liverpool had agreed to a £53m transfer for Nabil Fekir to join them for the start of this season only for the Premier League leaders to pull the plug on the transfer due to concerns over his knee.
The transfer was called off shortly before the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia which saw Fekir and France win the tournament for the second time in the history of French football.
France won the tournament via a 4-2 win over surprise finalists Croatia in their final clash in July.
Nabil Fekir played the role of impact sub for the majority of the tournament.
The two clubs also interested in Nabil Fekir are Italian Serie A champions Juventus and Premier League champions Manchester City.
Fekir has scored 27 goals and also provided 12 assists for Lyon in the league over the past two seasons.
