Despite facing huge injury crises, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp won’t sign any defender in January, that’s according to Sky Sports pundit Steven Warnock.
The pundit said Jurgen Klopp is not thinking about the injury crises rocking the team because he knows how to utilize the fit and healthy players.
Joe Gomez, Alexander-Arnold and Dejan Lovren are nursing injuries but the German manager has been able to cope without the players.
Fabinho was made to feature as a centre-back alongside Van Dijk, while, James Milner was forced to feature as a right-back at some point and the England international didn’t do bad, though, he could do better.
Stephen Warnock is in support of Klopp’s refusal to spend any amount of money on new players this month.
While speaking to Sky Sports News, the pundit admitted that not every manager would love to do the same thing and he is happy the former Borussia Dortmund manager isn’t planning to splash any money on new players.
“So Liverpool’s problem is short-term so for them to dip into the market and go and sign a player now, I don’t think they really need to,” he said.
The Reds sit comfortably at the top of the Premier League table but they need pick maximum points against Leicester City on Wednesday to remain on course for their first Premier League trophy in many years.
The Foxes aren’t in their best form at the moment, hence, a win at Anfield is non-negotiable for Klopp’s men.
