Highly rated Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has moved closer to the exit door after he angered senior club officials.
According to the publication from popular Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, senior Barcelona officials are furious with the French international winger after he skipped an important training session without any reason.
Dembele, 21, was said to have gone AWOL before it later emerged that he missed the Barcelona engagement with gastroenteritis.
The former Rennes forward has been linked with several European sides ahead of the upcoming transfer window in January.
Clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have been touted as possible destinations for him.
These clubs would have been boosted by the latest development involving him and Spanish champions Barcelona.
- Is this the time for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to be a regular player for Chelsea?
- Manchester United make things tougher for Arsenal as they show interest in €250,000-a-week star
Ousmane Dembele has struggled to live up with the hype since he moved to Barcelona from German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017.
His transfer was secured for an initial transfer fee of €105 plus €35m in add-ons.
His debut season was disturbed by a series of injuries but he recovered to do enough to be part of the French squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
Dembele was part of the victorious France Squad at the tournament.
He has had more playing opportunities at Barcelona in his second season (current season) and scored six goals but still failed to nail down a spot in the first team.
