Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay has told Manchester United that he is now a better player than he used to be in his days at the Old Trafford.

Depay made this claim ahead of Lyon’s Champions League encounter with Manchester City, which would be played in England on Wednesday night.

The winger who once signed for United was tipped as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo having being handed the No. 7 shirt but failed to live up to expectation.

The player sought to redeem his career in France with Lyon in January 2017 and that has worked out for him as he has since discovered his form.

Speaking of his stay at the Old Trafford, the player described it as not being successful as he wished.

He lamented that he could not break into the team and as a young player, he needed not to sit on the bench but to play regularly, giving him the thought of leaving the club.

However, he stated that he is happy things have changed in France and he is the player he had wished to be. He said it is glaring for all to see.

Memphis will be hoping to put words to action this evening by showcasing the player he has now become right before the Manchester fans.
