Barcelona has given an insight on why they are keen to capture embattled Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba.
The Spanish side are aware of the big financial commitment they will have to offer to secure the signature of the Frenchman but that cannot be compared to the reason for why the player is wanted.
AS reports that Barca plans to make Pogba, Lionel Messi’ successor as the captain is already running out of the abilities he used to be known for due to his age.
Reports have it that the Spanish giants will have to cough out at least €200m, for fee and contract before the player is allowed to leave the club, a development Barca financial chiefs are aware of.
United had paid €105m to Juventus, two years ago for the Frenchman – and will not in any way go less than that, knowing the increased value of the player after World Cup win.
The Catalans want to take advantage of the unsettled situation at United to begin planning for life without Messi and are reported to be in contact with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola, who is also keen to see his player part ways with the former Chelsea manager.
