Nice star Jean Seri has allegedly been in the City of London and has been in touch with both Arsenal and Chelsea over a move, according to French football journalist Nabil Djellit.
Ivorian linked with Premier League move
The Ivorian has long been heavily linked with a switch to England after impressing in the French Ligue 1, and it seems like things might be edging closer to heading forward.
The Daily Mirror have formerly linked the Gunners with the £40million-rated star, but Djellit claims the Blues are also in the running as the player arrives in London, as cited by the Daily Star.
Seri looks an ideal addition for both London clubs, who were rather not strong in central midfield last term and for whom Seri, 26, would certainly be an upgrade on most of their present midfield options.
Suitors need reinforcements
Truly, the north London giants lack genuine quality in the midfield due to the current struggles of Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny, while England international midfielder Jack Wilshere has just departed the Emirates Stadium, leaving the club short of depth in that position.
Meanwhile, West London giants Chelsea, lack a quality partner for France international N’Golo Kante, with the African certainly a massive upgrade on Tiemoue Bakayoko and England international Danny Drinkwater.
