Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has met with the agent of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic to thrash out a potential move, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has been a subject of interest from the Red Devils all summer window but Inter Milan have coyed on a deal, holding out for a crazy bid before allowing the move materialise.

It is understood that Manchester United have tabled a latest offer believed to be around £ 39million for the winger while Inter Milan are holding out for a fee around £48 million.

United boss, Jose Mourinho has not hidden his intentions to bring in another player before the end of the transfer window, having completed 75% of his business this window.

Despite reports that the English giants have given up on signing Perisic this summer and will look at signing other targets, The Mirror claim that Woodward has met with Perisic’s agent Fali Ramadani over a potential move this week.

Ramadani is also understood to have met with officials of Inter Milan after the meeting to reveal the transfer decision from Manchester United with hopes that the Italian giants will finally bulge over the stance on the deal.

It is understood that Mourinho is keen on sealing the deal and has told United to look into completing a deal before the end of the window.
