Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has ordered club to step up their pursuit of AS Monaco star, Fabinho, according to reports.
The Portuguese is determined to lure a fourth player to the Old Trafford this summer and it could be a midfielder capable of playing at right-back as a move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic might have crashed.
United were believed to have pulled out of a move to sign the Brazilian versatile star earlier this summer following reports that Monaco are not willing to allow any of their stars leave this summer after losing about three players to Premier League.
However, reports in the Daily Express claim that the Red Devils are ready to test the French champions’ resolve with a bid for the player who is also believed to be open to a summer exit.
It is understood that the English giants have failed in their bid to sign Serge Aurier from Paris Saint Germain and will have to look on other targets.
Mourinho is also said to be looking at the chances of luring Sergi Roberto from Barcelona, although the Catalan giants are unwilling to allow the Spaniard leave this summer despite signing a replacement in Semedo Nelson from Benfica.
