Manchester United will have to beat strong competition from Manchester City in order to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker, according to reports.
The 26-year-old defender is said to be looking to join a bigger club this summer and will listen to offers with regards to a potential move away from White Hart Lane following reports that the English defender has a strained relationship with boss, Mauricio Pochettino who has found a replacement in Kieran Trippier.
Reports in the Evening Standard claim that Spurs are ready to cash in on Walker as he continues with his antics, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona all said to be vying for his signature.
Pochettino had earlier revealed that the club is ongoing a rebuilding process, hinting at new signings this summer, he said: “It is true, all we are thinking in the future is to put the club into the last level.
“In our signings we are creating a new team that in the new stadium means Tottenham will be one of the best teams in the world.
“We will finish better than last season in terms of points. That means we are improving. We are aware next season will be very important for us.”
Manchester boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be in search of a younger right-back to takeover from Antonio Valencia who is already 31 years of age while Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is also keen to signing defensive reinforcements to his current squad.
