Reds Legend Reveals TWO Players That Are Causing Problems For Liverpool

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip needs to improve their performances for the Reds.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were stunned to a 2-2 draw by Bournemouth at Anfield much to the dismay of Kop faithfuls who were hoping to climb the table with important points in the last stage of the Premier League season. Camerounian defender Joel Matip was sidelined from the game due to a niggling back problem which saw Ragnar Klavan replace him in defence against the Cherries.

Following the draw, Carragher who was once a fan-favorite at Anfied went on to the social media to say:  “‘4th come on @LFC Not seen a win yet! And doing the Palace game in a few weeks!!

“Problem for @Lfc is Lovren & Matip always missing games, need to be tougher. 3rd choice Klavan then has to play more & eventually it shows.”

When asked why Matip did not start the game, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said: “Have you ever had back problems? I can explain exactly how it was.

“He came on the pitch this morning for a little, little session. It looked good. But then he had to fix his boots and then it didn’t look good.

“Obviously you can find someone in the game to fix your boot but I thought it’s not 100% and this game is not 100%.

“We brought him on because there was another warming up and we asked again and it was then better. Yes, maybe probably he could have played 90 minutes, not sure.”

Liverpool are sit third on the Premier League table with 60 points, which five points shy of Tottenham Hotspurs’ tally on the log.
