English Premier League giants Chelsea are now set to remind their players about the rules regarding mid-season breaks after their captain.
John Terry appeared to breach club guidelines by going on a skiing holiday.
Chelsea Italian manager Antonio Conte granted his men some extra time off and permission to go away ahead of Monday’s Premier League game against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
On Tuesday, John Terry posted a picture of himself and wife standing in front of a mountain on his Instagram account with the message ‘great few days away skiing with the family’.
He also shared on social media a recorded video of himself going for an evening run in the snow.
Actually, Chelsea’s club rules do not allow their players to go skiing or even partake in a number of activities that could result in injury during the season.
Even though the club’s officials were reportedly relaxed about Terry’s skiing trip and no disciplinary action will be taken, they are said to be ready to remind their players of the rules regarding holidays to avoid future confusion.
Antonio Conte has allowed his players several extra days off to relax this season since no European commitments to worry about. But the manager who doesn’t take discipline lightly will not want any of this players risking injury at such a vital time of the season.
Terry is yet to start in the League since the Swansea match at the Liberty Stadium. However, he could yet be needed if any one in the defensive side got hit by injury or suspension.
Chelsea’s players are actually required to get permission to travel abroad during the season and they must also receive the green light for trips such as the one Thibaut Courtois took when he traveled to New York last month to watch an NBA game and then on to Houston for the Super Bowl.
